Tradability & secondary market

Are virtual shares tradable?

The Tokenize.it secondary market enables the trading of virtual shares in startups — around the clock and within a regulated framework. It creates liquidity for an asset class that has traditionally been highly illiquid.

For Startups

The secondary market provides liquidity for investors without requiring the startup to undertake any capital measures. No operational overhead, no pricing or market control by the startup. Trading takes place independently of the startup's day-to-day operations.

Startups can optionally restrict trading — via an allowlist (defines who may trade) or a lock-up period (holding period after investment).

Activation can be requested directly via the account settings on app.tokenize.it.

For Investors

Investors can buy or sell virtual shares at any time. Access is available through the personal account under the "Trade" tab after a one-time onboarding process.

In the trade section, investors can browse existing offers, list their own shares for sale, and view ongoing and completed transactions.

Fees

2% transaction fee per completed trade, borne by the seller. No setup fees, no subscriptions, no hidden costs. Fees are only charged on successful trades.
